| I think it depends on the person. I got mine when I was almost 13 in 7th grade. Even though I wanted one before that, I really didn't need it. I mean, I know kids in like 4th grade who have one, and need it, and kids in 8th grade who have one and don't need it. |

| I voted depends person I mean after all many of us have actives that need a phone to be in touch with rents if u walk home or are home alone or if ur parents need u to stop hogging the home phone |

| u started going out alone at EIGHT?!?!?! geez!!! i couldn't go out alone till i was like 12. actually the first time i went to the movies without an adult was seventh grade. my parents are super protective |
